About Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical approach to the relief of symptoms related to neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, and headaches are common complaints when there is something wrong. These symptoms can start in the spine and affect the extremities, or they can begin in an extremity, like a knee or shoulder, and refer to the spine and cause problems.
Chiropractors, like Dr. Cherry, are experts in the care of joints, bones, nerves, muscles, and connective tissue with a focus on the relationship between the spine and the central nervous system. If a vertebra becomes restricted (aka "vertebral subluxation") it can cause dysfunction resulting in symptoms in the neck, middle or lower back, and sometimes the arms, legs, or internal organs. No one is immune to the vertebral subluxation (including the pain and inflammation that accompany this problem) and it can occur early on in life so it is extremely beneficial for children, especially those involved in sports. A chiropractic adjustment will relieve the fixated vertebra or joint allowing for an increase in range of motion, increase in strength, and decrease in pain.
Here at Cherry Chiropractic, we gently and specifically adjust the spine in order to return the vertebra to its normal position, thereby reducing pain and restoring healthy motion. Normalizing spinal function will help to speed the healing process of associated muscles, tendons, and ligaments as well as increase blood supply to the area. All the joints in the body are a part of the musculoskeletal system and every joint is susceptible to injury and disease. Prevention is key, and a chiropractic adjustment is a great way to prevent these issues.
Once considered "alternative" treatment, chiropractic care is widely accepted by the health care and medical communities as a non-invasive way to treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions and manage pain from birth into the late years.
We look forward to seeing you.
